Roberta is a contemporary mixed media artist based in Cornwall, England, drawing inspiration from the rugged coastal landscape near her home.
Through photography, she captures the colours, textures, and natural compositions found in rock formations and strata. In the studio, she translates these observations into layered works using acrylic paint, pastes, gels, oil pastels, and printed collage papers. Her process of building, sanding back, and reworking surfaces allows unexpected textures and forms to emerge, reflecting the raw, evolving nature of the coastline and landscape.
